The 1st Symposium of Conservation for Underwater Archaeology (ISCUA), organised by the Institut Balear d’Estudis en Arqueología Marítima (IBEAM) in collaboration with the Council of Formentera, serve as a platform to disseminate leading research in the preservation of our maritime cultural heritage. This Symposium aims to continue with the training of the youngest generations in the field, as well as to create future links between the differents institutions and invited specialists.

The registration period to attend the ISCUA will be open soon. The deadline to apply to attend is the 1st August, 2019. There is a limited capacity, and we will process the applications in strict order of reception. Please note that registration must be made in advance of the conference. Dr. Jean-Bernard Memet (A-CORROS, France). Marine corrosion doctor, he has worked for almost 20 years in marine corrosion and conservation of artefacts from underwater provenance.
